Our Tomorrow is HERE!

I have been an active member of the Southeast Raleigh community for many years, dedicating my time and efforts to both work and volunteer initiatives. My commitment is driven by the goal of improving the everyday lives of our citizens, making our community an even better place to live.  I currently sit on my second term serving SEANC Scholarship Board. Education is the foundation and bridge to stepping forward in life. I have volunteered with Interact of Wake County as Domestic Violence and Rape Counselors assisting women  and children in a time of crisis to provide them with a safe environment.  This is a fundamental need that not only provides a safe home for the family but for the community.

I am also a retiree of the state of North Carolina. I will fight for better wages, fully funded healthcare and equality in promotions. I know what it's  like  to work two jobs to make ends meet. North Carolina State Employees take pride in the services they provide our citizens. The budget should not be balanced on the backs of the state employees. I will be an advocate for all employees of North Carolina and my door will always be open to ALL!

I share your concerns and aspirations because I have strong family ties in our community. Born in Raleigh at Saint Augustine University  St. Agnes Hospital, I have been a resident of this community for many years.

Just like you, I face the challenges of crime, the need for safe schools, clean air, access to clean water, and affordable housing. As a retired State Employee, I understand the needs of the state employee, who serve us every day, who are underpaid and overworked, but yet dedicated to provided the services that are needed to keep our government operating effectively and without compromise.  I understand the minimum wage employee, I have family and friends who work for these wages by necessity not choice . Together we can make a difference for better lives and for  our community. This community is the best kept secret in Wake County and I want to be your Representative and be your voice, so that we are not left out of the equation of the development of District 33. We are here today and will be here tomorrow. Elect me, My Community First, But Your Representative ALWAYS!
